Setting The Record Straight

In case you missed it, this was the only smile we got out of Julia the day we went for our family portraits:


Most of the time, she looked like this:


But I need to quit pretending like she had any say in the matter at all:

That little girl? The only person not smiling? That would be me. The other women are my mom, my grandmother and my great-grandmother. Yes indeed. A professional portrait of four generations. Grandma and Nana drove in from out of state to make it happen. And for whatever reason, my obstinate self refused to smile. Which leads me to this one thought about my daughter ...

I'm in a lot of trouble.

Some day I'll tell you about how I didn't dance.

hehehehe It really is too funy how that "mother curse" really comes true (you know, the "one day, you will have a little girl, and I hope she acts just like you..." BAM

That is really something. I can't believe how sullen you both look in those pictures. You're going to have lots of fun as a parent. :)
