The Big Day

Today Julia and I took our first solo outing to a major retailer. The doctor said to stay away from crowds for six to eight weeks. Fortunately, Target at 8:30 am on a Sunday morning is not at all crowded.
Dave and I have been waking repeatedly in the night to Julia's sleeping noises. This is not conducive to a happy Mommy and Daddy. We were waiting to move Julia into the nursery for night-time sleeping until we had a baby monitor. Dave's been working late nights and all weekend so we haven't been able to coordinate our schedules for one of us to go to the store, but after last night, I just couldn't stand it anymore. So I took the chance that very few people would be as desperate as I was and headed to Target this morning right after Julia's feeding. (And surprisingly for an early morning in mid-January, the temperatures were in the mid-50s!) She did very well, sleeping nearly the whole time we were in the store.

So, how did you have room to fit anything else in the cart?

I didn't. I just put as much as I could underneath and decided it was time to go home once it was full!
