Is She April Fooling Me?

Today Julia made her usual request for a pen and paper to draw on and I gave them to her as I typically do. And she drew this:


Which is pretty typical of her masterpieces these days. However, today (for the first time) when I asked her to tell me about it, she pointed to the little circles I've boxed in red down below and told me they were "Shoes. Socks. Shoes." A little later, when asked, she said the same thing. Pardon me while I go frame this work of art!
