Well, to be honest, we only saw the lions. The black bear has been moved to ... an "M" state, Montana or Minnesota or something, and we missed the tigers and didn't feel like looping back. BUT, we had a great time at the Knoxville Zoo with my dad (he's here for the week helping out).
This is the first time we've been back since Dax was born. And while he didn't really care much to look at the animals, Julia had a GREAT time! It was so much fun! She still was a bit more interested in all the kids around, but she could identify a lot of the animals we saw and enjoyed talking to them. We'll be going back quite a bit (we're members) especially now when the weather is cool and school is still in session :)
This was Julia's favorite part (of course) ..."Forget the Red Pandas, Mom. They've got a bowl of WATER!!"
Checking Out The Rhinos
Getting a little lift from Grandpa
Rather than crawling, Julia chose to scoot through on her bottom.
Checking out the zoo from a little higher viewpoint.
My Little Monkeys
Caged Up
Look at that big boy!!!
Inside Tonka's crate
Checking out the elephants
Waving to the zebra
We got some french fries at the Safari Grill. No booster seat meant I had Dax on my lap ... or tried to, anyway.
Getting a ride
Checking out the ostrich

Haven't been to the zoo in ages, and if the weather cooperates, it's definitely time to go. In the meantime, I'm going to live vicariously through your visit. :)
The zoo was even more fun now that my oldest can enjoy it, too, but I've always loved the zoo. That's where we celebrated our first anniversary :) How romantic!
The zoo is a perfect outing for kids - so glad you guys had fun! Makes me want to add it to my list of things to do this summer...
Tabitha, if you'd like to borrow our kids to make your trip to the zoo even more of thrill ...
That would have been Dax's second trip to the zoo...he just wouldn't be able to remember the first. We took the kids in June when I was up there last year. :)
