Afternoon Delight

I know you folks don't drop by here to read about anyone over two, but sometimes I've just got to take a break from the kids! :)

Our family joined Fountain City United Methodist Church at t
he beginning of this year. We'd been visiting there for almost two years and finally joined. One of the best things about that day was that Dave and I were introduced to our fellowship friends, Robbie and Jackie. Not only has it been great getting to know the two of them, but they extended an invitation for us to visit their Sunday School class. We did and haven't looked back! Dave and I have really enjoyed getting to know the crazy people in the Cornerstone class. We've learned a lot in class and always have fun meeting up with the people outside of class, too. It, along with MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), has been a great way for me to meet some really neat ladies!

Yesterday was a Girls' Day Outing (not specifically for our Sunday School class, but several of our ladies were there). We met for lunch at Trio and had a White Elephant/Dirty Santa/Gift Swap. I don't think I've laughed so hard in months. Mostly at myself. I can't wait for the next one! (David was so sweet and kept the kids while I went out and relaxed. Thanks, Dave!)

Placing our cards so the servers know where to bring all the food!

Jackie and Fashion posing ... just not for me

The only picture of me ... I need to work on my aim.

Lindsay thought the food was good.

Jackie did a good job on her enormous salad.

We drew numbers for the gift exchange
(The reason there's only two numbers left in her hand is that Lindsay dumped the others in my salad trying to get hers. She then very politely picked them out for me. Thanks, Lindsay!)

A Dirty Santa Pictorial Guide:
Fashion: Ooooo! What a cute mug!! I love it!

Lindsay: My turn ... hmmmm ... I think I'll take Fashion's mug! Muahahahahaha!

Fashion: Awwww, my mug! I miss it.

Liz hugging the blanket she stole which I then stole from her!

Gee... on such a chilly day it would really be nice to have a warm BLANKET to snuggle up to... JOANNA.

I hope you get fat eating my butterfingers.

And Dave reminded me that we'll be sleeping through the night ... and I'll be extra warm under my blanket!
