Julia drinks water ALL the time.
Not from her cup.
No, she tries to drink from Echo's bowl, her swimming pool, the toilet, the sink when she's helping me wash veggies, the bathtub, the pots that have been sitting out on the deck collecting rainwater ... the list goes on. It's not uncommon, if you call our house around 7:45 pm to overhear the phrase, "Julia! Quit drinking the bathwater!" And you can be sure that we usually say that only after she's drunk so much water she can barely stand up due to the sloshing in her belly throwing off her balance. I've been worried about having to change up her nighttime routine and cut out her glass of milk when we start potty training, but these days, her tummy's so full of water, she rarely has room for more than a sip or two of milk!
The girl has access to a cup of ice water all day, but she rarely takes a sip of that unless I've added some juice or she's been playing outside on a hot day (and I haven't filled up her pool) But, no, thank you very much, any other time she'd rather drink her water ... "unfiltered."
(In the pictures above, she is in the midst of drinking about half the water out of her pool. I stopped her once I realized she was filling her cup with water and then adding a couple of pieces of sidewalk chalk for flavor before drinking!)
