Dave and I went to Babies 'R Us the other night to work on our gift registry. I think Dave mainly went along because he has fond memories of being in charge of the scanner while registering for our wedding gifts! (Hee. And not true. He figured out how the strollers worked so we could test out each one on our list.) We got started on our registry, but realized we had more research to do about what we need. If anyone has a good suggestion for a store to find baby furniture, let us know. We weren't taken with any of the options we saw last night.

Baby Depot at Burlington Coat Factory always seemed to have nice stuff. Also, I am in love with the convertible baby furniture IKEA has, that turns into a "junior bed" when they get too big for a crib. I'm all about stuff that'll last more than a few years.
&CatTypWe actually found the crib and dresser/changing table we want at JC Penney. (I don't know whether we'll get the hutch or not.) We like the maple finish. The prices were about the same as Babies 'R Us, but the quality looked much better. Of course, this does mean The Peanut will have nicer furniture than we do.
I really like those. I have always liked mission-style furniture. Also, if you get the hutch, The Peanut will be able to get more use out of it when they get older for storage, and it won't be just a changing table.
