I think she misses him
During the day, Echo's favorite spot is on our bed. She usually sleeps near the pillow on David's side. Today, she decided to encroach on his territory even more.

You should just not tell him and let him wonder why he is dreaming of Echo every night :)
I think he'd be wondering more why his pillow smelled like Echo every night.
When I smell things while I'm going to sleep, I tend to dream about them. That's more what I meant by that.
That actually makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking.
