1) We found our cell phone. We are now back in the land of the semi-technologically mobile. Give us a call!
2) Echo's been sick. Gross, gross stuff. She's back on the special food from the vet. The one that spoiled her before. The puppy crack. After being on that stuff for four days in January, as of mid-April she still hates to eat her dry food and comes running whenever I use the can opener. Hoping, whining, jumping to see ... and then grunting her disappointment when she realizes nothing's going into her bowl. I don't know if we'll ever get her back to dry food. We may have to start mixing it with canned.
3) We took our down comforter to the cleaners and put our quilt back on the bed. My own personal marker of the First Day of Spring.
4) We turned off the heat and (several weeks later) turned on the air conditioning.
5) We filled in many of the holes in our lawn so you have less danger of breaking your ankle when you come visit.
6) Then we seeded and fertilized the lawn. We've decided to try to grow only one kind of grass (fescue).
7) We figured out a plan for our garden areas ... somewhat. It changes. Often.
8) The Cutco sales rep visited my house and sharpened all my Cutco knives. All four of them. (Thanks, Grandma!) If any future posts mention a visit to the emergency room for stitches, you'll know why.
9) We finally got propane for our grill. This actually is a Big Thing (for me). I've been wanting to be able to grill out for at least a month, but we've never just gone and bought a tank. Now we've got one and have christened the grill. We had Steve and Gianna over for burgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob. They brought cheesecake and key lime pie from Litton's. YUMMY! I forgot to take pictures, though.
10) So, here's a recent picture of the Echo pup looking cute. And a little odd.

The removal of the down comforter is always my mark of Day One of Spring, too. Except this year I spoke too soon and ended up having to pull it out from under my bed in the middle of the night :) But it went back under a few days later and hasn't returned since.
We had a few chilly nights, too. I was a little over optimistic about the staying power of the warmer weather and ended up searching for blankets at 3 am one morning.
