Volleyball Watching

At school, the Kindergarten students are each assigned an eighth grade buddy.  The buddy sits with them in chapel on Wednesday mornings, comes to Kindergarten on Friday mornings to help out in the classroom, and also works on a rotating basis as a safety patrol to get the Kindergarten students safely to their cars during after school pick up.

We went to watch Dax's eighth grade buddy play volleyball in a tournament at St. Joseph's which is located right near our house.  As we stood at the counter waiting to pay admission, the lady selling tickets asked Dax's age.  When I told her that he is five, she said that he was able to get in free.  Then, she looked at Julia and asked, "Is she under ten?" Why, yes, yes she is.  I croaked out that Julia is in fact six and Julia got in free, too.

First Lutheran won the first round and so get to play again.  The kids enjoyed cheering on their team, but kept commenting on how LOUD it was.
