Stats

Took Julia to the doctor last week for her three-year checkup. (Okay, she was three years and two months, but I had a good reason for it being so late ... I forgot to schedule it :P Hmmmm ... so maybe not a good reason ... )

Anyway, Dr. Greg said she looks great. He gave me some ideas of things to work on and things to watch out for and then tossed us out! No shots! She did have to get her finger pricked for blood work, but evidently she didn't really care just watched as the nurse squeezed the blood out. They needed a urine sample which meant she sat on the potty until she peed and I sat right next to her and stuck the cup under her to catch some. :) Since she's just recently mastered sitting on the "big hole" (a regular sized toilet seat), but still can't do so without holding on for balance, it seemed like it would probably be a disaster in the making to try to teach her how to catch her pee in a little cup. I'm guessing there would be a lot of clean up on my part :)

And in case you're keeping track (and because this is where I keep track since the idea of writing in the baby book went by the wayside about three years and one month ago):

height: 40.3 inches (96th percentile)
weight: 36 pounds (90th percentile)

They don't measure her head circumference anymore. But, you can see from her stats that she is still a big girl! Sometimes I look at her running around and just can't believe that this long, lanky, lean princess who loves to make snow angels, jump off of things and forever brings me empty bowls full of "soup I made for you, Mommy" is the same girl as the tiny baby I cuddled only three short years ago!!

That last sentence? Yeah, that one is a heart melter. I can't believe it's been that long...I think we have 'known' each other for nearly that whole time! I have so enjoyed watching your family grow. Hugs to you and your soup making Princess!
