Stubborn Boy

Recently, David found out that Dax can say his name. He somehow manages to stretch out his little nickname to three syllables which makes it extra cute: "Daaaaaa-thsssssssssssss" Our Boy takes after his parents (and uncles and aunts and grandparents and great-grandparents) however and has been blessed/burdened with an extra dose of stubbornness. Fortunately, he's also not even two years old which means that on occasion, his parents are smarter than he is and can trick him!

Mommy/Daddy: Say "Dax!"
Dax: *shakes head*
M/D: Say "Dax!"
D: *shakes head harder*
M/D: Come on, say "Dax!"
D: *shakes head* No!
M/D: Say "Dax!"
D: No!
M/D: No? You won't say "Dax?"
D: No! No Daaaaa-thsssssss!
M/D: No "Dax?"
D: No Daaaaaaa-thsssssssss!
M/D: Okay. Will you say "Dax-a-ROO!"
D: No. No Dathsaroo.

And at that point he sees us grinning and figures out that he's been tricked and wanders off. Good times.
