"Gee, I'm so glad the kids are learning to play well together so that I can get some work done. It's so great that they're becoming such good friends. I haven't heard a peep out of them for fifteen minutes ... uh oh ... "
No noise is not good news. Ever. Undoubtedly, it leads to crayoned walls, ripped up books, rearranged shelves, emptied drawers, junked up closets, toothpaste painting, and self-serve snacking. And that's just in the first thirty minutes!
I was lucky ... they first stealthily moved from the living room into their room and only then attacked our bedroom (specifically my nightstand). If they had started out in our room there's no telling the mess I would have walked in on!
