The Trip

This post will take forever to load and read. Which is only fair since it took forever for me to upload all the pictures. As usual, you can click on any picture to see a larger view.

The kids and I went to Hattiesburg, MS this past week to visit my parents and grandparents. We had such a great time.

First things first ... there was much sitting in rocking chairs on the porch.

And opening of screen doors,
then thump, thump, thump running around the porch
to open a different screen door.

Playing in the yard

A different type of porch sitting.

Playing in the sprinkler.

Guess who's sitting up?!?

Playing in the trash can (He gets that from his Daddy.)

Lots of books were read

Grandma and Grandpa Steele have a satsuma tree in their yard.
We picked about a bushel and a half of satsumas and left about half a bushel on the tree!
Here are Julia and Grandma picking satsumas to go with our lunch.

(Julia thought it was an apple.)

I'm not sure why Julia chose to go over the bowl rather than around it.
She's almost two. That's the best explanation I can come up with right now.

Julia loved this little rocking chair my parents have.

She would pick it up and set it down right in front of something and then try to squeeze in front to get into the chair.

Wait a minute! Is he?

Indeed he is. Little bugger is pulling up already.

I pushed him over with my foot immediately following this picture.
(Just kidding)

Reason #1 Why Joanna Loves Visiting Mississippi:
Grandma fed Dax.

Reason #2 Why Joanna Loves Visiting Mississippi:
Mom fed Julia.

Sitting in the gazebo.

Uncle Allen trying to get Julia to take a nap.
Result: Unsuccessful

This is the best picture we got of the kids and my grandparents.

You can see that the great-grandparents can't take their eyes off these babies even to look at the camera!

Of course we strolled on the 14th green.

More porch sitting.

Helping Grandad.

There are perks to helping Granddad.

Playing in the yard again.

How does Dax feel about grass?
See if you can tell if he liked it or not.

Pondering nature?

Who's a jealous puppy?

Grinny Girl

It's better not to ask what Julia's busy with in this photo.

Dax trying to escape.

He kept an eye on his sister on the way home.
