Ms. Julia is sick. She had a goopy nose for about a week and a half. Then this weekend she developed a nice, rattly cough. If I hadn't known her for her entire life, I would have thought she was a chain smoker. I called the doctor today and we went in this afternoon. Verdict: a sinus infection that was on its way to an ear infection. She is now on an antibiotic and a decongestant. The pharmacist said the decongestant would either make her very, very sleepy or terribly hyper. After watching Julia an hour after she took the medicine, I'm happy to report that this particular decongestant makes her very, very sleepy. (That's the one I was hoping for!)
I'll be glad to get my girl back.
