THANK YOU, NANNA!

Dave's mom flew in on the Friday Dax arrived. She stayed with us for 11 days and completely spoiled us all. A sampling ...

She cooked and cleaned up after ALL our meals. She left me with a freezer full of muffins that Julia loves. She planned all the meals leaving me with no decision to make bigger than what to drink with dinner ... it was like living in a fancy hotel with all the comfort of home! She introduced several new recipes that Julia scarfed down as fast as we could get the food on her tray. She even left me with copies of the recipes. She loved on Julia making the Only Child to Big Sister transition much easier. She changed Julia's diaper so many times I've nearly forgotten how. She stayed up with Dave to help with late night feedings. She let me give Dax to her for the 6-7 am feeding so I could catch a few more ZZZZ's before Julia woke up. She came up with the idea to have Julia give Dax kisses on his hand rather than just fussing at her for giving pokes to the head. She washed and folded laundry.

Basically, she made coming home with a newborn about as easy as it could possibly be. So, we say "Thank you, Nanna, for all the hard work and planning that you did for us. The fact that it was done out of love makes it all the sweeter. We love you and can't wait to see you again!"
