I AM ONE YEAR OLD TODAY ...

... and I've been working SO hard on my walking.
... and I love to chase Echo around with my Walk N Ride.
... and if I find a box the right height, I like to push it around and walk behind it.
... and I don't like to eat my veggies.
... and I do like to eat cheese, hot dogs, chick'n nuggets, Cheerios, gold fish crackers, Saltine crackers, french fries, turkey, yogurt, baby oatmeal, bananas, GRAPES, avocado, mac 'n cheese, pancakes, waffles ... not all at once, though.
... and I still wake up in the mornings very happy.
... and when I wake up, I like you to let me play in my crib for a while so I can get ready to face the day slowly.
... and I get SO excited when my Daddy comes home.
... and I have so much fun going out with my Dad to see what we got in the mail.
... and I still drink from a bottle, but Mom says that will be changing after our Christmas trip.
... and I have started being a little shy around new people and hiding my face in Mommy's shoulder until the strangers make funny faces and then I decide they are okay.
... and if I have to go to bed when I don't want to or wake up and no one comes to get me fast enough, I throw lamb and my blanket out of my crib. But then I get REALLY upset because I don't have them to play with :)
... and I ROAR like a tiger.
... and I sometimes walk around clicking my tongue.

... and I am an early-to-bed person like my Mom.
... and I am a late-to-rise person like my Dad.
... and I am a wake-up-in-the-middle-of-the-night-and-play-for-a-few-hours, but I don't know where I get that from.
... and I still hate to wear shoes, although I enjoy chewing on them.
... and I love my showers with Daddy.
... and I practice my pincher grip even when there's nothing there to pinch.
... and when something makes me mad (like when I bumped my head on the rocking chair), I go over and hit it! (We're working on this one.)
... and Mom and Dad think I said "Echo" yesterday (once to each of them at different times).
... and I love to climb into my chair and sit with a book ... wonder who I see doing that all the time? :)
... and I learned SO much this year!
