Disappointing

We went to The Fruit and Berry Patch on Friday evening to scope the place out and discovered that the Easter freeze killed off their entire crop of blueberries, peaches and apples. We bought some sweet corn and might go back this afternoon to pick some blackberries. We'll definitely go back next weekend to pick grapes. I was really looking forward to introducing Julia to applesauce using apples we had actually picked ourselves :) Ah, well. We consoled ourselves with dinner at Gondolier.

The MBI summer party was Saturday. That wasn't disappointing, it was fun. Somehow when we were getting ready, Dave and I both thought it was 3:15 pm when it was actually 3:50 pm. Not sure how that happened, but since the party started at 4:00 pm we ended up rushing out the door without our camera (or our folding chairs or the cell phone or any sort of toy for Julia). We had the bare basics, though and enjoyed talking to everyone and accepting compliments on Julia's behalf.

That's the weekend roundup for our house. If all goes according to plan today, we'll be going to church and then hanging around the house. Possibly a side trip to pick blackberries.
