Once upon a time, back before we had a baby and people were still interested in Dave and me, I posted about random gifts that I have received that I still use and enjoy. If you took the time to read that post, at the bottom, I told of the demise of the first Christmas gift I ever received from Dave ... my stuffed penguin, Pollito.
Poor Pollito.
He sat for months and months at the top of the bookcase in our bedroom, well out of the reach of Echo. Actually, he didn't sit at the top of our bookcase for as long as I thought. My sweet husband researched doll hospitals and found a place that would repair my beloved penguin.
After Julia's birth (and a night's sleep), Dave presented me with my Pollito, looking quite dashing with his new nose. :) Here he is, complete with hospital band.
We've been married for six years as of about 2:30 pm today and I'm so thankful that God blessed me with someone who knows me well enough to gift me with a stuffed penguin with a nose job after I had given birth to our daughter. I love you, baby.

Happy Anniversary! I'm glad Pollito is back to his good old self after cosmetic surgery. =) Make sure to keep him away from Julia when she starts teething. We wouldn't want poor Pollito to have to go through that experience again.
