Breathing in and out ...

Oh, man. Echo nearly gave me a heart attack. She just tried to chase a ROTTWEILER out of her yard. Actually, she did a pretty good job of it. Fortunately, it was an extremely good-natured Rottie, not one that people had trained to be mean. I'm sure the entire neighborhood heard my panicked screaming, "ECHO!!! NO!!!!!" She didn't pay any attention.
It must be confusing to be a dog. I take her to the dog park and encourage her to play with those dogs. She chases squirrels out of her yard without any punishment (as long as she doesn't leave our yard to do it). She played with her buddy, Diesel, a few months ago, and he looked just like this dog. Huge things like mail trucks and UPS trucks "run away" when she growls at them for long enough. But she gets in trouble for trying to get this dog off her lawn.
I haven't yelled at someone like that since I got mad at my brother while playing volleyball.
My heart rate and breathing has slowly returned to normal.

Did you jump on her back and hit her like you did me?

HA! I wasn't going to tell that part.
No. She knew she was in trouble and headed straight for the bathroom. I left her in there for a little while to think about what she had done.
