Simply move everything out of the kitchen into the living room or dining room. This will allow you to see all your food, utensils, equipment and Tupperware in one quick glance.
WARNING: Do not attempt this method if you actually want to cook in your kitchen. It gets very frustrating.
Yes, I was so completely grossed out by the idea that mice could have been ANYWHERE in my cabinets that I had to empty them all out, wash everything and bleach the cabinets. Since we were making a mess anyways, Dave and I thought it would be a good time to go ahead and paint the kitchen.Sorry Grandma! This will probably be how the house looks when you visit. At least I can promise that it will be clean.

Or maybe you're totally right and mice are just plain YUCK.

Could also be just trying to make sure we don't end up with mice that could actually carry The Peanut away.
And, just in case some of them are from NIMH, making sure they don't get confused about the kid's nickname and try to make a snack out of it once it's born!
