Dave's 30th

Hopefully the length of time between a blog update about a party and the actual party is a sign of how great the party was, not how lame the blogger is. I'm feeling optimistic this morning, so I'll just believe its true.
We had a great time at Dave's birthday party. A mix of family, work friends, school friends, old neighbors and new neighbors showed up. Dave's family came in on Friday night in order to help us get everything ready. We wouldn't have been able to get everything done in time if they hadn't. (Thanks, Bouldins!) As with any Bouldin gathering, no one went hungry. In fact, we were begging people to take leftovers home with them.
Everyone started off with chips, dip, veggies and fruit to tide them over until the Grill Masters (Dave and Christopher) decided to get to work.

Laura and I made enough veggie kabobs to feed, well, more people than we invited.

And Dave finally got to use his ENTIRE grill! (He kept the Santa Fe Baked Beans warm on the side burner.)

And here is one of the few pictures taken during the party.
