Church Visit One

Dave and I visited Faith United Methodist Church on Sunday. It's a smaller church; I'd guess an average of 170-200 for Sunday services. The church is located in a newer subdivision of cookie-cutter type homes. The building looks like one of the houses, just 170% larger. We did not get to hear the pastor as he and his wife are on a trip to the Holy Land, but the gentleman filling in did well. We were greeted at the door, informed of the guest speaker, welcomed to the church and ushered towards the sanctuary. The people we met seemed nice as they would during Sunday services at a church. I think I'd rather try to find a church with a larger congregation. One big enough to have a variety of Sunday School classes for members our age and a choice of Sunday services.
After the 11:00 am service, we headed to Fountain City Creamery for Sunday brunch. Yum and yum. We arrived just ahead of the crowd from other churches in the area. (That would be a point for Faith UMC!) The food was delicious, as it has been every time I've been.
